Make sure your banner URL address is correct. Banner URLS end in .gif or .jpg
Banner URLS do NOT end in html or htm.

The Incorrect way is >>>...... http://www.mysite.com/pictures/banner.html
Also, this could be caused by the server your banner is on. Many free hosting sites such as Geocities, Angelfire, Tripod etc. don't allow banners on their servers to be used on web pages unless the web pages are on their server.
Try contacting the company you get the Internet through and see if they offer web space for personal home pages for their subscribers. Most of them offer this service to their subscribers to create web pages and store files, try putting your banner there.
